Chronic low back pain is very common in modern society.

In United Kingdom, it is estimated that around 80 of adults will experience back pain in their lifetime.
The common causes of chronic low back pain include: Failure of spinal muscles to protect ligaments and to maintain proper posture, Overuse of back muscle, and Untreated injury. On top of these, overweight, childbirth and core abdominal muscle weakness are the predisposing factors of chronic low back pain.

The symptoms of chronic low back pain include: Repeated episodes of acute attack, muscle stiffness leading to difficulty in bending down, back sore after sitting or walking, tenderness upon lying flat on mattress or floor, morning stiffness, etc
